I love when people deconstruct shoes but when it comes most adidas shoes especially with boost you already know what the tech involves. Deconstructing Nike, Peak, Li-Ning, etc. products is more interesting as the cushion is usually hidden inside the outsole.
What if adidas did something like a bounce carrier with squishy boost inserts in the heel. miadidas could also give the consumer option on the type of boost they want (soft, firm, etc.).
Now that adidas is able to sculpt/mold boost like I saw in the EQT 93/17 we are going to get some interesting looking outsoles.
I partly agree with doing some sensible deconstruction although I must say that with this HV1 pair, it is also somehow looked educational. the pellets looked smaller and much compact and more pellets compared to the typical boost with bigger pellets. this could affect the bounce/response effect of the shoe. although I’m somehow intrigued with having a Bounce/Boost Hybrid.
Not sure about the scale of comparison pictures; if they compared same shoe sizes, then = it looks like Harden volume 1 has more Boost than CrazyLight Boost Low and D Rose7; and a little bit more Boost than Crazy Explosive.
It depends on the weight of the basketball player and how much push, how much strength is sent with each step.
great deconstruction. I just got these yesterday and love everything EXCEPT that awful toe digging. I’m glad they showed it here, but I hate that it means my options are return them or try cutting them :S (the days of me playing in painful bball shoes are over)
I’m a size 10 and have these in 9.5 . I went and tried them in a 10 today and had the same problem. Still trying to break it in, it’s a little better on my right foot , still sharp pain on the left. Starting to consider trying their children method.

Hi, I am wearing Harden Vol.1 UK9 size. Having serious Top of the foot pain – Dorsal compression syndrome (pressure between the joints on top of the foot) after wearing. Previously wearing all other shoes including Curry 2 low, Air Jordan CP3 no problem at all. Is there any design problem? and how can I solve this problem? Adding foot arch support?
Another problem is the Harden Logo dropped out easily and gone missing. What a poor design!

me too…bounce with targeted boost would be dope
so…what makes hv1 so heavy?

I always enjoy the deconstructed articles!

So you’ve experienced this digging caused by that small triangular piece of plastic? What size are you?
