adidas appears to be taking a step back with the latest D Rose 9, but we’re still excited to see what the shoe has to offer on-court.
Boost has been replaced with Bounce in the D Rose 9 and the signature packaging has been replaced with a plain black adidas box. Honestly, it’s a little depressing to see as I’ve played in every Rose model since the adiZero D Rose 2 and generally been excited for each new model.
However, the D Rose 9 does feature a tooling setup that I genuinely enjoy with Bounce. With the downgrades in nearly all aspects of the shoe, from materials to packaging, we were expecting to see a decrease in retail price. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened. $140 is the current listed price, but we expect that to change rather quickly once the shoe goes on sale.
If you wanted more information on what the adidas D Rose 9 has to offer then we’ve got you covered in the video review above. Stay tuned for the performance reviews in the coming weeks and let us know your thoughts on the latest D Rose model below in the comment section.
$140 and no boost? They need to bounce with that price tag
I think Adidas is making these limited intentionally because they know they wont sell well. Especially for $140. Literally the only place I’ve seen them offered is on adidas.com. No Eastbay, Champs, Footlocker, Foot Action, Dicks Sporting Goods, Finishline, Shiekh , Hibbett, etc… When they get around $100 I might pick them up.
The 8 wasn’t common to find in my experience, and 7 and 6 didn’t seem to show up in stores all that much until close to their half life.
Looking forward to the performance review. I think if we had to play the comparison game, I’d like to see how these stack up against the Brandblack JC2. Low-riding foam, upper has a soft front and stiff rear, just like the Rose 9 and at similar price point when new. From the sound of these impressions, I wouldn’t be surprised if the JC2 was still better to this day.
The price tag in fareast only at around USD115. And have discount immediately, you can have it in USD90
In the Philippines these are priced slightly higher than the Dames.
here in ‘Pinas it costs only PHP 6,500 or roughly $121 in current foreign exchange rate
