adidas China is Already Promoting the CrazyLight Boost 2016

adidas China is already promoting the upcoming CrazyLight Boost 2016 which means they will be seeing a release sooner than later.

If the rumors are true then we can expect to see these guys hit retail around July. Specific dates and pricing won’t be available until adidas sends out the official press release information, but we’ll keep you guys updated.

As for the shoe; they feature a Jacquard upper, PU overlays in high-wear areas, TPU lockdown wing at the collar, full length Boost midsole, and amazing traction. How do we know they offer amazing traction? We’ve been playing in the PrimeKnit version and so far they don’t disappoint.

Enjoy the latest look at the upcoming adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016 and get ready for one hell of a shoe. This is not the same adidas from the 90’s and early 2000’s. These guys came to play.

  1. Definitely expect these in July, with D Rose not much after, then the Wiggins. Pumped for Adidas fall 16 bball lineup; just hoping one of em fits my Fred Flintstone feet.

  2. Since weartesters has the primeknit version, then fit would be different from the jacquard upper in the initial release,

Would you guys review both versions?

    1. We usually receive press release/ media kit pairs from adidas so if that happens this year then yes. Based off wearing the PK version so far, I’m assuming the fit will be slightly different as the PK is a one piece upper whereas the Jacquard features a traditional tongue. OK version has been very snug so far.

  3. I want to see an adidas shoe with boost and that super-articulated “feet you wear” sole from a couple years ago. They had it on the Wall 2 and the Crazyquick last year, so I hope they don’t forget about it. Those shoes might not have been great sales-wise, but that is more to do with their aesthetics and their lack of a good performance cushion. The articulated sole itself is a great idea. If they could get boost or bounce on that I think they’d have a killer shoe.

      1. True. In general, adidas usually uses really soft rubber on almost all their basketball models, which I don’t like at all. Supposedly its to make better traction, but you can have good traction with a more firm rubber. I want at least 6 months of life when I buy a shoe. They really should use a tougher rubber compound and thicker traction on some models; instead of making 3 shoes with the same tooling, make some shoes that can have a little more mileage. Continental is more durable than what they normally use, but its not as durable as some Nikes.

I’ve had a feet you wear shoe in the 90s that lasted over 6 months. It can be done. Get a durable super-articulated sole with boost or bounce, and I think that could be a killer shoe. And bring back the techfit upper. That had a lot of potential, and they seem to be letting it go.

        1. I think that the 773 (III) before this last version (IV) had a very outdoor friendly outsole and then they immediately abandoned it for this thin garbage that they put on the latest 773 (IV). Had the new one come with the model before’s traction, they probably would have sold very well since they also had Bounce. They’re basically trying to give them away now because I don’t think that anyone was really going for that thin traction.

          1. Yeah, I was looking into getting those or the Light Em Up 2s which have the same traction, but I felt the soles in a store and said nope. Marshmallow soft- they would last about a month, maybe less. Shame, since they seemed like solid shoes with bounce. Their only shoes with durable outsoles are some basic budget models that have crap cushioning.

        2. I really hate when a Brand goes away from what worked instead of building on it. It’s not a secret what the consumers like. All they have to do is come to a site like this, a forum, etc and I know that they do. Yet, they still mess around with what works all the time. Every single brand. Lol! Whether it’s JB with cushion and quality, UA moving to Charged and Away from Micro G, Adidas with the traction, just to name a few examples from the various players. Of course, they aren’t limited to just those things. Aight, rant over.
