A first look at Klay Thompson’s upcoming ANTA KT 5.
Klay Thompson won’t be seen wearing his next signature shoe on-court to start the 2019-2020 NBA Season, but when he comes back from his ACL injury this is said to be the shoe he’ll be wearing.
Our first thought was “why is HOVR on an ANTA shoe?”, but upon closer inspection it looks like its just a midsole graphic. It’s not a very good midsole graphic since it mimics the look of Under Armour’s HOVR a little too much, but that’s none of our business.
The build looks to be constructed on knit while the midfoot has an interesting overlap that secures to the ankle collar. Like the midsole treatment, this feature looks similar to another model: the Li-Ning Yu Shuai 12.
We hope more details about the ANTA KT 5 emerge soon as the cushion and traction are unknown at the moment. However, the shoe looks solid as of now.
