Under Armour has finally officially unveiled the HOVR SLK, the brand’s latest sportstyle shoe, after it has been available at several Stateside retailers like Zappos for weeks.

Equipped with Under Armour’s newest cushioning system, the HOVR SLK is a neutral lightweight runner designed for the road. It features a durable circular knit upper with a breathable textile lining for a sock-like fit and a full anchored lacing system for adjustability.

There is a molded external TPU heel counter in place that should help secure the foot on the footbed. Wearers will ride atop a removable anti-microbial OrthoLite insole that molds to the foot for some customized comfort. Beneath that insole is the HOVR foam and it’s contained by the compression mesh Energy Web.

Additional details include the 8mm differential and full-length rubber outsole (with high-abrasion rubber under the heel). The HOVR SLK weighs 11 ounces in a size 12.

According to Under Armour, the HOVR SLK will officially launch on August 1 at UA.com and select retailers. As mentioned above, the shoe is already available at Zappos.com in several colorways for $100.

  1. These were rumored to be a lifestyle model before. Hopefully the upper is supportive-enough to run in because that exposed hovr on the back has me intrigued. Under Armour kills the budget running game out of them, adidas, and nike

  2. I personnally would not mind a review writen by the excellent Bryan Hinkle as he showed them on his feet a couple of time on his IG account.
Very appealing model for the spring-summer season.

  3. the sockliner is not Ortholite indeed….even they describe it in the spec….
i know the suppliers….. try all means to decrease the cost…..

also it’s not really a running shoe, more like a life style one.

  4. Does the SLK have the Hovr foam on the entire shoe like the Phantom and is it the same thickness? I love the feel and comfort of the Phantom but the Sonic (with the Hovr only on the heel) looks better to me. The SLK seems to strike the right balance between the two (as a comfort shoe, not primarily for running). If the SLK has as much Hovr foam as the Phantom, I’ll go ahead and buy it online (not yet available locally).
