We reported on the recently released Nike Air Maestro II LTD last month but now, the real Nike Air Maestro II is scheduled to return as part of Nike’s Art of a Champion collection.
Scottie Pippen wore the original Nike Air Maestro II while racking up the twelfth triple-double in NBA Finals history against the Phoenix Suns (15-12-12).
In a celebration of Pippen’s ability to step out of MJ’s shadow and prove himself as one the game’s greatest players of all-time, Nike will be re-releasing the real version of the Nike Air Maestro II ‘Trifecta’. The shoe sports a smooth leather build, synthetic nubuck accents, PU midsole, and Air cushioning; fans of this Nike Basketball classic will likely be counting down the days until it releases.
According to Nike, the Air Maestro II ‘Trifecta’ is set to return on May 10 as part of the Art of a Champion collection. However, Nike has not released pricing information so stay tuned.
Hopefully, we’ll get an update with a confirmed retail price so we know how much it’ll take for us to relive our childhood through sneakers.
Is anyone else excited to see the Nike Air Maestro II return true to its original form? Let us know in the comment section below.

Despite being a Jordan fan, Pip is my favorite player of all time. Anyway, these should have been the colorway for the Toro 18s. Despite the tech discrepancy, These shoes look aesthetically appealing. If my knees were younger, I’d feel like Pip soaring for dunks.
Pip is my all-time favorite player as well. I remember when he got MVP in the all-star game rockin these red Maestro’s joints. I wish they could re-release the Nike air swift. He was wearing those when he bodied Pat Ewing.
Maestro 2 and Swift are the absolute favorite Nike basketball shoes ever. Wish it was the blk/white Maestro 2 though.
Please hypebeasts stay away from this shoe so I don’t have to pay resale, please……..
Finally!! They are already at the top of my wishlist!
