Possible Nike HyperRev 2017 Spotted in Black and White

Nike Hyperrev 2017 Black 5

Today, we get a look at a new colorway of the possible Nike HyperRev 2017 model (and it looks a lot like what we spotted online earlier this month). The HyperRev line is one that really has no particular feature or aesthetic that ties together each yearly installment, and that remains true with what we speculate is the latest HyperRev model. The past three years of this line has been filled with some obnoxious and over the top designs, yet this new iteration of the HyperRev 2017 (pictured in black and white below) seems to have been toned down quite a bit.

Is the new design of this possible HyperRev 2017 boring? Some may say so; others may say that it’s a welcomed change from the previous models. The midsole seems to take cues from the latest Hyperdunk silhouette, while the upper appears to be made of a sports mesh with fuse overlays for added durability. An extremely padded collar looks as though it will provide both great support as well as a comfortable fit. Like previous HyperRev models, the newest installment will feature Zoom cushioning but we don’t know how thick it will be or how large of an area it will cover.

Previously leaked photos of the HyperRev 2017 have showed us an interestingly wavy herringbone pattern on the outsole which may turn out to be either fantastic or horrendous. This traction pattern also extends pretty far up onto the midsole, which is a great change from the 2016 model.

What do you think of this possible Nike HyperRev 2017? Is it too boring for you, or are you glad Nike toned down the line? Let us know in the comment section below and stay tuned to WearTesters.com for future updates on the HyperRev line.

  1. I like the look, simple and all business. The hyperrev line has gotten too outlandish as the years went on, but this one looks like a classic team shoe. Hopefully they keep up the line’s trademark of having heel and forefoot zoom you can actually feel, and I hope that traction works, too.

  2. That traction pattern looks to be very interesting but I wish the pattern was not as tight. Who knows though. I feel it’s cool that the hyperrev is toning it down just a bit. I’m really hoping for solid zoom air, especially with what other brands have done this past year.

  3. I wish the hyperrer line would return to full length zoom…that was the shoe of the year for me when it came out, now i have the KD9 and HD16 flyknit to fill my zoom needs, but still would be nice not to have to pay as much for great cushion.

  4. If there’s full length zoom air, must cop. They also remind me of the nike kwazi which i’m not sure if the kwazi is a ball shoe.

  5. Classic silhouette, not somethng fancy by the HyperRev line in comparison with their previous models. In my opinion very interesting is the pattern on the outsole with the wavy thing and the herringbone.

  6. they look fine, and i’d imagine that if people wanna rock these with sweats after the game, they’d look a lot better than the last two hyperrevs
the hyperrev has been an A grade ball shoe for years, hopefully these are good too

  7. I’ve got this to be over-performer of the year providing the price is low and the zoom unit in the forefoot is a decent size (hopefully that same shape metatarsal zoom unit you could see in the kobe venom 5, but maybe top loaded instead). Other than that it just looks like a solid, no nonsense basketball shoe.
