Someone asked me earlier how the Jordan Super.Fly was doing on-court; my reply was short and simple… beastly.
Something I typically don’t discuss is the aesthetics of performance shoes because they are bound to get ruined on-court. It’s a pet peeve of mine when someone complains about a sneakers appearance after they’ve been manhandled on-court… like they expected them to come out of battle unscathed or something. I know, it is ridiculous isn’t it?
Anyway, the Jordan Super.Fly has an interesting Fuse upper… I went over this in the last performance teaser as well but that was all about the uppers performance, this is about its looks. The main body of the shoe looks almost flawless, even after so much time on-court and getting stuck underneath other people’s feet. The only area that truly shows wear is the small toe rand… but even then… you have to really look for the scuffs.
Just like magic, scuffs and markings are virtually unnoticed when the shoe is at certain angles. Why is this important? Simple… they’ll look just as good as they perform… even after you play in them. I’m sure this feature will depend on the colorway but if it has that glittered pearl coat look then you should be fine.
Traction is very similar to what was used on the Air Jordan 2012. One notable difference is that the AJ2012’s offered better traction straight out the box whereas these need to be broken in a bit before become solid. One reason for this is that the midsoles flexibility is greater in the Jordan 2012.
Another reason is that the rubber used is softer and more pliable in the 2012; good for indoors… bad for outdoors. Once the Super.Fly breaks in then you won’t have anything to worry about, no matter the court condition… that’s their greatest strength & something they have in common with the AJ2012.
What most fail to realize is just how good Jordan Brand performance models are. They don’t look appealing off-court… I understand that… but neither do the Nike Hyperfuse. Whether you are positioned at the 1 spot or the 4, the Jordan Super.Fly’s performance can be summed up in one word… beastly.

Hi nightwing, how do you compare these agains the zoom soldier vi, performance-wise?
hey nightwing, how is the ventilation on these? is the inner sleeve causing problems with ventilation? and how comfortable are these?
I currently just bought the Soldier 6, and they were tight. I had to go a half size up from my regular shoe. Do you recommend that with these? Thank you.
Judging from your first two teasers, I think you like this shoe alot. lol.
Another “team Jordan” that performs and blows away the “Air Jordan” along with the signature athletes of Nike. Shameful how they have the same technology and yet there multi-million dollar athletes dont get a top performance shoe.
Do you prefer play in the superfly or the soldier 6 as of this point?
hey nightwing i didn’t know you also do a first impression in youtube with “on feet” sample…nice! for the rest of the folks who didn’t know this the link is below:
Hi nightwing. How many games you played in them?(look like new)
Hi NW, does these break in your personal top 5 for the year??
Nightwing2303, how the cushioning of the shoe, does the combination of having lunarlon at the
Forefoot and zoom air at the heel better than full length lunarlon or any other type of cushioning?

Hey,nightwing how do these compare to the hyperdunk 2012? In your opinion?
i’ve been following your reviews recently. I think this is my first time commenting, but great job on all of your reviews. They are all well made and really objective. Can’t wait for the full performance review on these!!
These are sounding and looking great to me!
yeah, performance shoes are designed to perform good on the court.
