I often play in sneakers that I end up really liking but it’s not often I end up playing sneakers I fall in love with…
Traction has been BEASTLY… like King Kong vs. Godzilla type of beastly. No matter what I have done or how fast I was going while doing it, these have proved to be excellent in every situation.
I wouldn’t recommend these for outdoor use though. That’s probably their only drawback. I know a ton of people hoop outdoors most of the time and these may not cut it outside nor would they last too long.
If you are an indoor baller then looking past the Under Armour Micro G Torch – to put it rather bluntly – would be one of the dumbest things you could do. They aren’t for everyone but you will have to wait for the full review for all the information. Until then… this should hold you over.
I KNEW the traction was good! cant wait for the review!
not to bother u or anything r u still going to review the adidas top ten 2000 that silver and maroon r my school colors and i ride the bench so maybe i can keep them fresh
Ua does not dissap
Ua does not dissappoint ! I love the juke and bloodline . If they learn how to grow their market share then they will stick around
IMO,a budget beastly shoes are the best promotion for their sport.
I feel that this is where And1 was before (not today) in expensive performance shoes. Good for UA for giving us “gimmick” less shoes. Can’t wait for the review.
I really digging these as well, but I’m also really intrigued by their new shoe the nano g lightning I wonder how much different the cushioning will be. Are you going to review the Nano g lightning if it actually comes out?
Yeah i agree with Eddy, i dont know if the cushion is different in the nano g lightning, i think nano g is a new type of traction webbing/ and layering of the shoe which helps traction and breathability. Nightwing, you should release some more info on those, they’re one unique looking shoe.
hi…. not to be ahead of anyone but….
Can this shoe be an aspiring number ONE on the top 10 performance shoes this year??
They probably wont make it to the #1 spot bc the ventilation will hurt the overall score. They are def on my personal list of favs.
hello nightwing,
how do these perform compared to the Howard 2 and Lebron 6? in terms of lightness/weight, comfort and responsiveness? how would you rank them? sorry, I was only able to try out the Lebron 6 which imo are sick. totally explosive shoes that I feel like running and jumping. first Lebrons’ that I really liked. I’m contemplating a lot on which of the 3 I would get. if the Howard 2 and Torch are as good as the Lebron, those would be another option. I’m 5’8 btw and play SG and PF. thanks
i was really looking forward to buying this pair. but it isnt for outdoors like you said so thats a bummer! haha! i always play outdoors so playing in these would really wear out the traction FAST! i play center so initially i thought of the adihoward 2.0 but are those outdoor worthy? i know the hyperenforcer XD is built for outdoors but they seem to be for guards and ive read reviews of people getting blisters in it. so which is more better of the two? or is there a shoe you’d rather have me wear? Thanks alot dude!
just got the AdiHoward 2.0. they seem really tough for outdoors. also keeps you grounded on slippery surface. really sticky.
Im glad to hear how good the traction is, but can you grip compare to any other recent shoe? like the outsole of the 2010/2011 hyperfuse or something really grippy available in stores now?(i’d mention the kobe iv’s for comparison, but I havent played in those for years and i dont have them anymore)
I have the 2010 Hyperfuses. I’d say that traction is really good in comparison. probably a bit much better than the Hyperfuse that I own. it has a little more sting on the floor, probably because of the much softer rubber it uses and plainly leveled compared to the Hyperfuse I have. the one thing that I didn’t like about the Micro Torch from what I’ve seen is that it looks cheap-ish in comparison to the Hyperfuse. if you don’t mind aesthetics, this would be fine. but if you are going to ask me, and you are really looking for great traction for indoors and outdoors without having to worry about durability, I highly recommend the Howard 2 as mentioned by NightWing2303. it is aesthetically beautiful, snug-fit, light for such type of shoe, built is of high quality imo, has great lockdown and damn sticky outsole. it is probably the best bang for your buck shoes since they come cheaper than the Micro Torch. I think they are selling for $75 right now.
Mine needed to be broken in considering my foot had grown accustomed to wearing Nike Free’s which somehow molded my feet flat and wide. also run out of size and was lucky enough to get the display model which was just the right fit for me. I usually buy shoes half-size up my right size. so something really fitting is somehow weird for me. I would have gotten a half-size up if they didn’t say that they would no longer re-stock the item or is already discontinued.
