The PEAK DH1 may be one of the most aesthetically pleasing shoes PEAK has built to date, and there are some great looking colorways coming. After recently signing Dwight Howard, PEAK had to design a shoe for the big man. Let’s get into the design and technology of Howard’s first signature with PEAK.
Based on talks with Houston Rockets’ Dwight Howard, the design is inspired from the concept of Phoenix. The embossed pattern at both sides of the DH1, which stretches from the shoe’s tongue to the TPU heel counter, resemble the wings of the Phoenix. The gradient colors and radial pattern of spark elements are also incorporated in the design.
The international edition of the PEAK DH1 applied Dwight Howard’s personal logo on the pull loop at the back of shoes. On the PEAK DH1 Chinese edition, which we have here, the straps in the back emblazoned with two Chinese characters “涅槃” that imply the story of Phoenix.
Now for the tech:- The upper of the PEAK DH1 is one piece of PEAK’s upgraded SURFACE upper. It is applied with “bionic design” and uses specific materials to strengthen the vamp support. The SURFACE upper ensures flexibility, dynamic support, and provides the necessary wrapping of the foot.
- Get ready for this: PEAK’s Tenacity Unit is a huge piece of true carbon fiber and it serves as an anti-torsion unit. The high-density carbon fiber beneath the foot arch retains the outsole’s shape to enhance stability and support during movement. It also aims to prevent common injuries due to torsion.
- One of PEAK’s core technologies, CUSHION-3, received an upgrade for its implementation in the DH1. PEAK has strengthened the structure of the CUSHION-3 unit in order to provide a great cushioning experience and increase the life of the midsole.

Asthetically its already better than every adidas Howard. Good move signing with Peak- his shoes weren’t selling in the states anyway, and Peak are putting out some quality shoes.

These look pretty good. The Chinese colorway is sick. The traction looks beastly. Leaps and bounds better than any of his Adidas shoes. I just think the “12” on the forefoot looks a bit forced and out of place. Anyone have experience with this cushion?

I wonder if anyone have the same experience with,but here goes,peak is available here in indonesia,one day i bought size 11 us(peak tp1)and since im 11.5 of course it feels too tight(lenght wise),but then i bought of ebay from US seller size 11.5(peak battier 7 and peak galaxy 4),when they arrive the box and the shoe tag written they are size 11,at first im disappointed,but then…when i try both of them ,they are fit like 11.5 should ,mind boggling…
My question is..
1.is there a sizing differences beetwen peak product that are sold in asia versus in the US??
2.or is it simply the model problem(the battier and the galaxy simply had a roomier feature
YES, YES YES. I got these, tp9.3, and Lightning in the same shipment (check my IG @duke4005). These and tp9 are size 12, lightning is an 11, and they are all the same length. Very frustrating when trying to recommend them.
Duke,i follow you on instagram as well,im fan of peak ,but the sizing is super confusing,so far i have bought 6 peak shoes and they are very incosistent

So how the heck are we supposed to order any Peak shoes? I can only order them online, but if the sizing it wrong, I can’t afford to throw away that money.
I always thought that I could go off of the US sizing and be OK.
The only Peak shoes I have are the original TP9 Team Lightnings and they are size 11US. I don’t wear them because they are a bit narrow/tight up front. I normally wear size 11.5 minimum. The other problem is that Peak don’t seem to have size 11.5 in a lot of their shoes. I decided that if I ever bought another pair of their shoes and I couldn’t get size 11.5, then I would always go up to a size 12US as I didn’t want that tight/narrow fit of the TP9 Team Lightning.
I was also told by someone at Peaksneakers dot com that only the US versions have the larger sizing. The asian versions don’t normally have anything larger than size 11US, so if you see larger sizes for sale in asia, it’s likely pairs that the have been returned from the US that didn’t sell. Not sure how correct all that info is.
I’d actually like to try these and also the new TP9 3s out as well, but since I can only order online, I’m a bit worried about wasting my money and getting the wrong sizing.
Does anyone know someone from Peak that can clarify the sizing?
No visible DH logo in the Chinese edition? The logo on the CF is hardly visible.
The article says the International Edition with have his DH/DH-logo on the heel-tab, in the pictures the Chinese-Edition have Chinese-Text on the tab.
The all black pair looks alright
Hopefully they sell them SOMEWHERE in the U.S. so that shipping isn’t another $20 dollars..
