Fans of the Zoom Fly SP, React Element 87, and Jordan Brand’s Flight Utility design language will likely love the upcoming Nike VaporMax 2019.
The new VaporMax for 2019 will resemble the VaporMax Run Utility more than the outgoing VaporMax Flyknit 2. It will feature a similar TPE translucent stretch-woven upper that Nike has applied to the popular models like the Zoom Fly SP and React Element 87. This will move one of the brand’s self-proclaimed top-tier runners away from knit and towards synthetic materials (perhaps an effort to increase sustainability).
The lacing system for this latest VaporMax build, which uses thick rope laces, will be secured with plastic pieces beneath the translucent upper and not Flywire. While the VaporMax unit underfoot appears unchanged, the heel counter appears much more sturdy.
There is no official word on when exactly to expect the VaporMax 2019 but we’ll keep you updated. For now, let us know what you think of this women’s build in the comments below.
