Nike has more coming for its on-trend bulky dad shoe, the M2K Tekno. This colorway, which has already sold out at several European retailers, should be arriving Stateside shortly.
For now, the Nike M2K Tekno is a women’s release. Based on the Air Monarch IV, a best-selling dad shoe that uses a full-length Air unit within a Phylon midsole for excellent cushioning, the M2K Tekno appears to ride atop a simple Phylon midsole (tech specs at several retailers make no mention of an embedded Air unit).
According to the shoe’s designer, Jin Hong (who was part of of The 1 Reimagined project), the shoe was designed specifically for women — that meant using a narrower last, a thicker tongue, and different Swoosh placements.
Expect this new Nike M2K Tekno to hit retailers in the U.S. very soon for $100.
