Nike and Jordan Brand’s CNY (Chinese New Year) pack will include many more sneakers than the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 32. The latest style added to the collection is the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘CNY’.
This Foamposite flaunts an iridescent upper with graphics all over it. Traditional Chinese imagery like the crane and fireworks are featured all over the upper, and many of the graphics echo those used on the Air Jordan 6 ‘CNY’, Air Jordan 32 ‘CNY’, and Kyrie 4 ‘CNY’.
There is no official word yet on when the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘CNY’ will arrive but it will likely retail for $230. If it is deemed a “premium” build, like the Air Foamposite One ‘Abalone’ that is similarly iridescent, it will retail for $250.

Nike did a lousy job designing the the CNY pattern, here’s why: They tried to build a bridge between flowers and fireworks but failed hopelessly in the execution. Both individually would or could have become awesome Foamposites. Fireworks may look like flowers to a child of 5 years old, but if you want to implement that you have to take a Murakami sort of style to pull it of, especially because you have so little room on one sneaker to tell that story. Otherwise your shoe and storytelling gets messed up. Which is what happened to the whole CNY collection.
Just imagine doing a real fireworks Foamposite, that would be fire for sure.
These or the new Galaxy colorway? This is an interesting design that will stand out.
