After unveiling the BAIT x Reebok Question ‘Snake 2.0’ yesterday, BAIT has surprised us with another Reebok project on the DMX Run 10 and DMX Fusion called “Ideation Department.”
After studying the historic Reebok archives, BAIT is paying homage to the ideation process behind the DMX Run 10, one of the brand’s most iconic running silhouettes.
According to BAIT, the DMX Run 10 ‘Ideation Department’ ($150) is inspired by the original notations of the DMX Run 10’s designer Bill Marvin and superimposes them over the technical drawings of the DMX sole unit with layers of transparent TPU.
Additionally, an isometric grid pattern is used across the upper, a nod to the blank pages in a sketch book, while original sketches of the sneaker appear on the insoles. The tongue and eyelets on this DMX Run 10 have been updated for 2018 and the shoe rides atop a transparent outsole.
Pictured above, the DMX Fusion ($135) in the “Ideation Department” pack is a modern silhouette built from DMX DNA. Like its new DMX Run 10, BAIT has placed Bill Marvin’s design notations on the upper using layers of TPU — and if you look closely, you’ll notice several layers of designs.
Capable of multiple lacing setups, the DMX Fusion features a static-patterned black and reflective 3M knit on its upper with fused eyelets at the medial and lateral sides. Again, technical drawings of the DMX sole units are featured on the insoles while the shoe rides atop a smoked transparent outsole.
Both the BAIT x Reebok DMX Run 10 and DMX Fusion “Ideation Department” sneakers are available now in limited numbers at BAITme.com. They will also be available in the BAIT x Reebok Pop-up Shop in Los Angeles for All-Star Weekend.

Wait so do these have actual DMX? Because looking at the outsole it does but I thought they stop using DMX. If they do, the knits are an insta-cop. I have the run DMX 10 retro that has the real DMX and I love them.
It’s tricky — real DMX isn’t back, unfortunately, but the foam has been a bit bouncier and the Alpha/Beta Project stuff Reebok was doing had truer DMX. Producing that stem pack is expensive in 2018.
poor attempt at a fad, off white, reeboks pyer moss collabo is flames tho
