After the release of the Jordan 18 ‘Sport Royal’ earlier this year, its black suede counterpart, the Air Jordan 18 ‘Black/Sport Royal’, finally has a 2018 release date.
First released in 2003, several Air Jordan 18s — including a ‘Toro’ build that celebrated Michael Jordan’s last game — have dropped this year to celebrate the shoe’s fifteenth anniversary.
Now, according to leaker @zsneakerheadz, the Air Jordan 18 ‘Black/Sport Royal’ will release on October 25, 2018. Of course, that date could change between now and then but we’ll update you.
This year’s Air Jordan 18 Retros have featured all of the shoe’s original tech: a full-length Zoom Air setup that includes an additional double-stacked heel Zoom unit. You can take a look inside the shoe by checking out the Air Jordan 18 deconstructed.
Let us know if you’re excited to see the Air Jordan 18 ‘Black/Sport Royal’ coming back. Be sure to check out Nightwing2303’s detailed look at the ‘Sport Royal’ below.

Ready for this release! I still have my original pair and I look forward to second pair.
my og pair have seen better days, so these are very welcome.
Very excited for these! This was the first shoe I fell in love with. I was 9/10 when these came out in 03 and a classmate had them. I didn’t even really know what Jordan and Nike were, and certainly was just beginning to understand the cultural significance. Couldn’t afford them at the time (plus I believe they sold out). I have since copped an OG pair, but unfortunately the zoom bags have popped. Really excited to finally get a re-release!
