Meet the adidas Originals Kamanda.
The Kamanda appears to be another installment in the adidas Prophere line of sneakers, mainly due to the exaggerated midsole/outsole that is featured on the sneaker.
According to Instagram user @eartothestreet, the Kamanda will not feature Boost, which may turn away some consumers.
Furthermore, this particular pair features a nubuck upper, gold foil ‘adidas’ branding with the translucent gum-bottomed outsole and the white leather heel for an added aesthetic touch. There is also a woven patch in the lining that reads “world famous for quality” to remind people that this shoe is using premium materials.
As with all adidas Originals models, these are meant strictly for lifestyle purposes. As such, performance features are far and few in-between.
No official word yet on when the adidas Originals Kamanda is set to drop and for how much, but according to theillest, these are set to drop early in 2018. As with all things, keep it here to WearTesters for any upcoming news.
What do you think of the adidas Originals Kamanda? Is it something you would personally rock or is the name more akin to an 80s Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
Kamanda? Name sounds like a reptile, maybe snake or lizard or crocodile alligator. The outsole reminds me of the pangolin (mammal, not reptile).
Originality? These are the Iniki with different tooling/materials. Don’t get me wrong though, I enjoy this sillouette, especially the sloped down front.
