Los Angeles based streetwear brand X-large clothing and Barcelona’s 24Kilates have teamed up to collaborate with Diadora. The X-Large x 24Kilates x Diadora N.9000 ‘Copito’ takes inspiration from both X-Large’s iconic gorilla logo and 24Kilates hometown, Barcelona, home to the world’s only known albino gorilla.
The collaboration features a combination of materials — from off-white, perforated suede and nubuck for the base, to white Kangaroo leather, pony hair, and 3M reflective material — while still maintaining the classic look of the Diadora N.9000. Kangaroo leather that is debossed with X-Large branding is used on the tongue and overlays of the shoe. A laser-etched 24Kilates logo can be seen on the heel of the shoe, with pony hair, to reference a part of Copito’s fur. It wouldn’t be an X-Large joint without 3M reflective material so that has made its way onto some of the panels of the shoe. Finally, a soft shade of pink makes up the midsole and outsole to finish off this premium made in Italy shoe.
The X-Large x 24Kilates x Diadora N.9000 ‘Copito’ releases December 17, 2016, at the X-Large Store in Harajuku, Tokyo, at 24Kilates (Barcelona, Madrid, and Bangkok), and at Ubiq’s new location in Washington, D.C. Exclusive X-Large apparel for the collaboration will also be sold at all release locations.

What a funny looking queer-boi…and that queer-boi Russian sailboat haircut doesn’t help. …Queer-Boi.
Too many people frequenting the site are caught up in Jays and signature sneakers, but these are absolute fire. Outstanding use of unique materials and color-blocked to perfection. Just peep the subtle gradient on the midsole. Crazy.
Took an L on Ronnie Fieg’s Intrepid Diadora’s, but won’t lose out on these.
