Not only is there a low top version of the Under Armour Micro G Charge Volt but now there is a ‘mid’ or high version available as well.
From what I can tell, the outsoles look like solid rubber which would be beneficial to their performance since the translucent rubber used on this type of outsole didn’t work well at all. Still not sold on the collar area but its made of a thinner neoprene material which will make then fit better than the original Micro G Charge… I’d still rather wear the low over these personally but if you like the high cut look then these might do well.
I’ll think about a performance review on the low top version but I don’t think you’ll see one on these from me. If you wanted to make your own assessment on the Micro G Charge Volt then you can grab them now at UnderArmour.com.
Like these might cop a pair
The only problem is that there isnt a good traction pattern in the heel
im liking them a little more than last round..
These look very comfy especially with the Micro G insoles. I very interested in the lows since the fit will be better. As a guard I don’t really need too much traction in the heel, so these will work just fine for me.
Hhhhhhhmmmmmm….
These are really ugly…BUT…I ruptured my Achilles in April (2 days before Kobe, he copied me). I have had trouble with shoes irritating the Achilles area in the back, where the top of the shoe is. These seem like they might work well as the top of them is well above the rupture. Interesting…going to have to try them!
Another dope ass different shoe from Armour! This rate this will be the only company dropping different cooll shit.
This actually looks pretty good compared to the original version. I really couldn’t see myself wearing the original version of this shoe, but this one looks much better. This particular colorway looks good too.
If this is a mid/high top, what was the original classified as? A super high top?
hmm, just saw Eastbay has listed one colorway for sale. They’ve got it priced higher than the Spawn for $129.99. I wouldn’t have thought that they’d price it higher than the Anatomix Spawn.
They’ve also got the lows listed for $99.99, which isn’t too bad of a price at all IMO. Depending on performance (mainly the traction), I’m very interested in trying out the Charge Volt lows. I’m hoping that they might be a great value low top.
It looks like Under Armour has a few lines of shoes now that they are trying to get established. They’ve now got the Torch line, the Spine Predator line, and the Charge Volt lines. It looks like they are trying to make a staple lineup with these lines of shoes.
What do you guys think? Is that what they are doing here, or are they simply just trying to improve upon previous versions of their shoes?
I think they are doing a little of both. I can see them sticking with these lines going forward . My favorite are the Spawn and Spine. If they can improve the traction on the Spawn so that it grips better on non-clean floors then this is THE go to shoe. We can only wear the Spawn on well maintained floors and the Super Fly 2 has now become the main shoe for any court condition.
I do prefer the UA shoes because of Micro G (love full length foam cushions), support and fit, but there is room for improvement and growth.
Should we refer its performance from your performance review before or not?
Just tried the Volt Mids- damn they are strong. So far- solid rubber traction is great indoor. I had the previous version and this one is softer and grips better. The heel is good forget that its amazing. Actually makes my achilles feel stronger and I am still super free in motion. The heat gear is even better than the 1st one. The colors are great- got myself the camo looking one- Under Armour needs to invest more in showing these dope ass joints off.
hey guys is Eastbay a website that you can trust?
Footlocker owns eastbay but you should buy from the store directly if you watch Nightwings review on the air jordan 5 Oreo you’ll find out why
Eastbay is a legit store if that is what you’re asking.
Thank you ice09
Still waiting on the review for the low-top version of these shoes that you said you might do..
It’d be MUCH appreciated if you can. Thanks bro.
