Under Armour Anatomix Spawn – Detailed Look + Release Info

One of my most anticipated models that isn’t named LeBron XI is almost here.

The Under Armour Anatomix Spawn releases on Sept. 1st for $120 and comes fully equipped with an anomaly correct upper, midsole and outsole… combine that with Micro G… excuse me while I go change my pants.

There are going to be tons of colorways available throughout the season so be on the lookout for once that catches your eye. If you want to know even more about the shoe itself then head over to Sole Collector and check out Nick DePaula’s interview with Under Armour Lead Designer Ross Klein.

      1. I 100% agree. I personally really like UA but now that they’re getting really big, my concern is I walk into a UA in 1.5yrs and their shoes are $189+.

        1. All you have to do is look at their track record. Their most expensive shoe has been $140 (I think). They could have debuted their Grid Iron Trainer for at least $130 and had some decent sales but instead they price it at $100. This shoe is different. There was a lot of research and analysis done in order to create it and they likely had to try a number of different things before it all came together cohesively. Once I play in them I’ll get a better feel as to how much I’d personally pay to own a pair… that is how I determine something that is bang for your buck. If I’m willing to pay $250 for the XX8 and these play just as good and they price them at $130… how can anyone complain? If their prices eventually creep up it’ll only be because of one thing – they earned it. adidas jumps the Rose line from $110 to $160 and all they did was provide a slightly better synthetic and added a metal hang tag and that sucked… but in comparison they were still ‘on target’ with the market. Things go on sale all the time though so Im sure it wont be too bad if you wait.

  1. My son still loves the UA Spine Bionic. Love the price and different look. Micro G has become my favorite cushion.

  2. Wow, a shoe designed with the actual foot in mind. What a concept! Love it. Reminds me of the AJ XX8. Looks different but is made for the foot. The foot looks weird so a shoe specifically made for its shape is a plus for me. “Anatomix” is a great name sense the shoe is designed based of the anatomy of the foot. This may be the shoe, next to XX8.

  3. Hey NW, I just got an idea reading the previous comments. How about on your future reviews you appraise the shoes based on the tech, materials, implementation, research, etc.? Some sort of like the estimate of the actual price should be based on your assessment. Well, just a suggestion…

Thanks for you hardwork (as always)!

    1. you are talking about valuation, right? because pricing is pretty tricky since NW isn’t the manufacture nor knows the cost of production plus other stuff. not really an important aspect if you ask me.

      1. Yeah, i agree. Not an important aspect in terms of performance. The suggestion comes from the fact that some of NW’s followers considers the reviews on what shoes to buy next. In some reviews, there are comments regarding if the price is worth the upgrade (ie: Elite versus non-elite) or is it worth the tech. Well as you can notice, there are brands that are coming out right now that performs well just as the top brands. and their prices are competitive. Just a suggestion. Well, NW will still be the master of his site.

  4. those blue memphis grizzlies looking joints are serious….ventilation also looks on point (something that i need considering how much i sweat and how long i play on a regular basis)…maybe i need to bite the bullet and order these online

  5. AHHH YEAH

This is auto cop for sure

Where’s that orange camo from the other post? Hope that’s not an exclusive. Might just buy a white pair and make my own custom arctic camo if that ain’t available

  6. These look really nice, I love the outsole. I’m looking forward to trying out Micro-G. I know that you love that stuff, funny how the foams are so different. I love the stiffness of EVA from Rose 3.0, the Kobe 8 is great fit wise, but the foam is just slightly plush for me. The CP3.6 AE Podulon is a good balance between the two. Under Armour isn’t big overseas so I am looking forward to rocking these on the courts in Singapore.

  7. I really, really want to try out an Under Armour shoe (along with their Micro G cushioning), so hopefully, this is the shoe.
