In celebration of the 25th Shaq Attaq All-Star anniversary, Stance Socks, Mitchell & Ness, and Reebok Classics have come together for a special ‘Superman’ pack.
“Superman,” just one of the many monikers bestowed on Shaquille O’Neal during his time as a beast on the hardwood, became synonymous with the big man — and he embraced it fully. Shaq even has a life-size Superman statue on the docks behind his crib (check out the video below).
Now, the Superman moniker has come to Shaq’s first Reebok signature sneaker, the Shaq Attaq, which debuted in 1992 (you can learn more about the sneaker by checking out this interview with Judy Close, its designer). With the iconic Superman S logo emblazoned on the Pump of this Shaq Attaq, the shoe flaunts the red white and blue of the world’s most powerful Boy Scout.
Mitchell & Ness crafted a custom O-Neal jersey tee from those colors, and Stance Socks actually brought the moniker to life by printing the original Superman on two fresh pairs of Stance socks. Thus, the Superman branding is featured on all the accessories in this collection.
According to the shop, the Shoe Palace x Reebok Shaq Attaq ‘Superman’ — and its matching accessories — will launch at select Shoe Palace locations and ShoePalace.com on February 16. No pricing information has been announce, so stay tuned to the Shoe Palace socials.
