Puma All Pro Nitro Elite
Overall, the Puma All-Pro Nitro Elite excels as a high-performance shoe, delivering remarkable traction, cushioning, and support. Its design prioritizes function, ensuring stability, comfort, and durability on the court. However, the synthetic materials may be a drawback for players expecting a premium touch, and its $250 price tag may be prohibitive for some. But if we are only talking about on-court performance, the Puma All-Pro Nitro Elite absolutely delivers. Read the full review. Price: $250
Puma Stewie 3
The Puma Stewie 3 is an elevated and improved Kobe 11. It’s more flexible, wider, lower to the ground, with better torsional support and more durable cushioning…so if you like the Kobe 11 or you’re looking for an affordable Kobe substitute, the Puma Stewie 3 should be at the top of your list.
With this shoe, you’ll get top-notch traction, a smooth and reactive ride on court, and elite lockdown and containment. And you get all of that for the very reasonable price of $120. It’s more of a guard shoe, and if you need above-average cushioning, this might not the shoe for you. But all around, the Stewie 3 is a great performance model and a worthy 3rd model in Brianna Stewart’s signature line. Read the full review. Price: $130
Puma Scoot Zero
The Puma Scoot Zero is just a solid basketball shoe with no bells or whistles. This is slightly disappointing if you are looking at the Scoot Zero as the “first signature shoe for an exciting new NBA prospect”. If we look at these shoes as one of Puma’s budget basketball shoes for the 2023-24 season, then they’re much more impressive. Either way, the Scoot Zero promises to be a dependable on-court performance basketball shoe and a good start to what will hopefully be another great signature line to keep an eye on. Puma MB.03
The Puma MB 03 might just be the best LaMelo signature shoe to date, which is saying something. In terms of on-court performance, the Puma MB 01 is hard to beat, but the MB 03 features better materials, and, in our opinion, a more refined and unique design, which might just clinch the W. Puma Stewie 2
The Puma Stewie 2 is Brianna Stewart’s second signature shoe with Puma and it has the potential to be one of the best performance basketball shoes of 2023. The shoe features a very distinctive traction setup that combines 3 different patterns: herringbone in the forefoot, radial in the midfoot, and a feather-shaped pattern in the heel. This setup works great indoors, but, that rubber is not the most durable, so this won’t hold up great outdoors. The cushioning setup combines a more dense, compressed EVA midsole, and a softer Nitro foam heel puck, which results in a very nice and well-balanced ride on court. The upper is just like any other modern hoop shoe nowadays, but it performs well so, no complaints there. The shoe does come in women’s sizes so if you want your male size, you need to go with 1.5 sizes more (ie size 12 = 13.5). Watch the full review. Price: $120
Puma All Pro Nitro
The Puma All Pro Nitro is the follow-up to an all-time great performance basketball shoe, the Puma Clyde All-Pro. This model takes a fresh approach, setting itself apart from its predecessor, yet manages to be an impressive continuation of the beloved performance basketball shoe. Expect exceptional traction, a plush and well-balanced cushioning system, and adequate materials that deliver performance, culminating in an outstanding performance basketball shoe that won’t disappoint. Puma TRC Balze Court
The Puma Playmaker TRC Blaze Court is a very underrated performance basketball shoe, and perhaps Puma’s best hoop shoe in 2023. With the Puma TRC Blaze Court you get a really great dual-density cushioning system that combines Trinomic foam and Profoam. On top of that, you get an effective and grippy traction system and nice support features. Durability can be an issue so keep that in mind. Read the full review. Price: $120 $79
Puma MB 02
The Puma Playmaker MB 02 was one of the most anticipated performance basketball shoes of 2023. The second signature shoe of the Charlotte Hornets superstar, LaMelo Ball followed the Puma MB 01 which was the best basketball shoe of last year, so the MB 02 had a very high standard to meet… and didn’t. The shoe is not terrible, the Puma MB 02 features good traction, a dense and reactive cushioning system, and not-so-great materials and support features. When you compare it to the previous model, which might not be fair, it is clearly a step behind. Watch the full review. Price: $130
Puma Playmaker Pro
The Puma Playmaker Pro is Puma’s most affordable hoop shoe in 2023., retailing for just $80. For the price, you get a pretty well-performing hoop shoe: traction is excellent, but won’t be the most durable outdoors, cushioning, provided by a slab of Profoam, which is reactive almost to the point of feeling neutral, and support is just enough to get you where you are going. But the best feature of the shoe by far is the shoes materials. You get a mix of textiles and synthetic leather overlays with some small premium suede esthetic details. Watch the full review.
