It took a bit longer than expected but Play Cloths is collaborating with Saucony Originals once again. This time, the two have come up with the Play Cloths x Saucony ‘Strange Fruit’ Pack. The Strange Fruit pack is comprised of three colorways of the Saucony Shadow 5000s. Interesting enough, the three colorways have suede uppers and die-cut stars throughout the toe box. And as strange as these fruit are, the three colorways are orange, purple, and gray. A white midsole and a gum outsole lie beneath the suede uppers. The actual fruit could be oranges and grapes for orange and purple but what fruit is the gray for? What’s also very surprising is the dual branding between Play Cloths and Saucony upon the tongue. In my opinion, the dual branding is the best part of the pack.
