There are literally a handful of performance monsters this year which will make the end of the year list really tough to narrow down.
No, I’m not going over traction again. However, the outsole is just amazing. adidas’ PureMotion allows more flex along the entire base of the shoe but the Spawn allows flex only where you need it. Is this a better setup? I don’t know… I tend to not look at things in that manor. Better to me is different than it is to you so it should really be based on your needs and not my personal opinion.
With that being said… I do personally enjoy the flex of the Spawn more than the PureMotion only because I like having a little more support underfoot. These take care of my needs perfectly without lacking in support or flex… a perfect blend between the two.
Cushion… well, it’s Micro G… and you already know how I feel about that.
There are so many shoes that are a #1 type of pick for me that its going to be really hard to narrow things down. This year has had a lot of great on-court performers… more than I can remember any year having previously. Its been a good year for basketball players.
How’s the width on these? Ok for wide footers like the rest of Under Armour’s stuff?
They feel great to me. Wide footers may want to try them on first to get the right fit. These were designed to have little to no dead space within the shoe.
Hows the micro g on this? Better than the torch? Bc i heard there were cutouts in the cushion in this for better flex
It isnt really cutouts in the cushion/midsole as much as cutouts in the outsole

Yeah, about the cushion… Is it only micro G in the heel, or does the tpu go all the way down to the heel? And if so, does it hinder the cushion much or make heelstrikes painful?
Its full length Micro G. The TPU frame is on the exterior of the shoe, nowhere near anything that would affect cushion at all.

Can you discuss the forefoot cushion? Like is it going to be adequate for heavy forefoot players?
This usage of Micro G is a bit more dense when compared to last years Torch so heavy footers should be fine. The foam will last longer and you’re still covered as far as impact goes.
Is this shoe for any position? Because I have the SuperFly2 and they kind of feel like a bigs guys shoe(position 3,4,5)!

Yea I did notice how my spawn’s cushion wasn’t as plush as the torch but its still really good, however if I had to choose I definitely would of gone towards the more plush side. Either way both options would last longer than the hyperdunk. The ony thing under armour could improve on in this shoe IMO is slightly better grip (slipped once) and just a little bit more compression in the heel

Did you mention in your previous teasers if these came with a micro g insole as well? I’m sorry I’m being lazy lol. These might be my next hoop shoes regardless. Great work as always NW!
