Nike Unveils the Air VaporMax Utility ‘Maximum Black’

Nike Air VaporMax Utility 4

Originally reported as the VaporMax ATR, Nike has made its VaporMax platform a bit more ready for the elements with the Air VaporMax Utility.

With this new build the Air VaporMax Flyknit has grown to a three-quarter-high mid cut and added a toggle lacing system. Additionally, the shoe adds a speckled Cushlon foam midsole for added support (and comfort) which will make the shoe ride high off the ground.

Moreover, reinforcements have been added at the heel and forefoot to increase the durability of the Flyknit. Unique designs on the insoles add some character, and although the product description doesn’t mention them, there are reflective details all over this shoe.

These updates come at a cost; the Nike Air VaporMax Utility will retail for $225. It drops on Nike sneakers in this ‘Maximum Black’ colorway on January 4.

Let us know if you’ll be picking up this new VaporMax build in the comments.
