The Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid for Lance Mountain’s Friends and Family

As the old adage goes, “What’s old is new again,” and sometimes, that old twist on sneakers is what makes them new again.

The Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid Lance Mountain ‘Friends & Family’ mixes new and old in that it features an upper that was inspired by ’70s-era prism-fade concert posters.

“The colorway — the rock poster fade — is connected to a look that has been tied to me for some time,” Mountain said in a statement. “I have used it on my board graphics, for example, throughout my career.”

Along with the prism-fade upper, the heel of the sneaker also features tile-like accenting, a nod to Mountain’s history with the Blazer silhouette and in pool skating. Also, the left sneaker features the number “78,” the year Mountain initially saw the Blazer in skate magazines, while the right sneaker has the number “17,” to represent the present as well as the future.

There is no official word on a release date or a price for these, but due to the fact that these are called ‘Friends & Family,’ chances are slim that these will see a general release. In any case, keep it here to WearTesters for any upcoming news.
