The Nike Air Zoom-Type is a Nike Zoom Air prototype brought to life. It’s also the debut model from Nike’s new N.354 label. N.354 celebrates the Nike designers and product teams that take crazy ideas and turn them into great innovation and products.
The Nike Air Zoom-Type brings a half-finished, streetwear look and marries it with today’s elite technologies. And yeah, it looks sort of odd. Like the Nike LD Waffle Sacai and Nike Alphafly Next% dated, enjoyed some…ahem…time alone, and had a baby.
In the video, Chris takes a detailed look at the two-tiered midsole, the TPU plate, the two layers of fluffy Cushlon foam, and the big contrast-colored Zoom Air pods. The on-foot view gives you a sense of the bounciness of the Zoom pods. And Chris talks a bit about the propulsive feeling he gets when wearing the Zoom-Type. The Zoom-Type is a casual shoe with a minimal upper that’s really comfortable. Almost comfortable enough to get Chris to wear them instead of his typical performance footwear. The Zoom-Type is targeted at consumers and sneakerheads who appreciate innovation, samples, technology, and sneaker history.
