An up close and personal look at the upcoming Jordan Melo M9 is something I’ve been craving since I first saw catalog images. Not because it looks nice – it’s a hideous shoe to be perfectly honest – but the M8 was so awesome on-court that I was anticipating potential upgrades with this model.
Traction looks great. Support, fit and materials all look on point as well but I would have preferred if they stayed with the mid top styling. Their cushion was what I had been mostly curious about as I was only able to see the large volume Zoom Air located at the heel. It looks as if they have implemented heel and forefoot Zoom Air… this shoe is going to be awesome!

I’m in the middle in terms on looks..don’t love it or hate it.. flywire looks a little cheapish, but if it performs as well as the m8 then i’m all for it…

I have the melo m8.. It is one of my favorite shoes to ball in, the biggest problem being ventilation, other then that it is pretty perfect, so I look forward to getting the m8 advance. But I’m curious to c how these perform, wondering how much of an upgrade they would be, if any from the m8.
I own a pair of grey M8 (just like you) and I like them for ballin and for style, they feel just like slippers.
I have even considered to buy a second pair but like you said previously there is so many realeses in a 12 months spans…

The M9 are not the best looking shoe in the world but if they handle anything like the M8, who cares. I’ve played in the M8 with no problem except for the lack of air flow. My son who is 8 has been playing in the M8 since he was 7 and loves it! He has tried on many signature shoes and high performance shoes, like the Hyperdunk (hated it) and none of them have compared to the M8 for him. For him, the M8 is a perfect fit. Being a forward and sometimes guard this shoe does it all for him. Maybe that’s why I bought my son four different color ways.
He already wants the M9 after seeing the pics!
The advance cured the ventilation problem. Don’t know if they can ventilated the M9. Like the cables of a tourbillon watch? (Usually merry expensive watches that Carmelo can afford) Video pronounces it incorrectly. And the back like the hands on a watch? What BS! The traction and the new extended zoom units are the stars here. It is a decently ugly shoe as it has more function over style. I’d take the look of the M8 advance in home colorway over this anyday but the M9 seems (pardon the pun) more advanced.
Is there even much ventilation in this shoe? All i see is the mesh tongue like the m8’s and ventilation in that shoe was horrible… is the mesh booty in the m9 gonna be ventilated with perforations or something?
Traction looks good. I’m curious about the heel part though, being a shoe for a forward, a rounded out heel doesn’t seem like it would hold up on post-up moves.
and it doesn’t look as flexible as the previous shoe on his line.
I play in the M8’s got the knicker cw and the eastbay reds. There moving throught the nike outlets preTty quick first with the taxi now those tucky blue and cuse orange black n navy suede joints. The I push myself harder in those kix than any others, they gots the grip and the landing gear with all that zoom in the forefoot and softy heel. Since you been posting these I’ve been on one side of the fence, wondering what the forefoot was gonna feel like, maybe the cush will be more like the M4’s when they had zoom front. N back (maybe the 5’s not sure). Not a fan of the Hyper Hypes Fuze plasteek’s rehash reviews but we would Most Def likes to see a review when these A Bomb’s drop they look like a Ballin’ mans work boot by the way – what’s the delay on that C3PO 6 review?!
