First Look at the Nike KD Trey 5 IV

An image has surfaced of Kevin Durant’s fourth team shoe with Nike: the KD Trey 5 IV.

The upper looks to be mesh with overlaying fuse for structural support. At the rear of the shoe, a synthetic leather panel forms as an eyelet and looks to help in the lockdown department. From what we can see, the the tooling looks to remain the same. The tractions’ rubber is very thick and the midsole consists of phylon and zoom.

Stay tuned to WearTesters for more images and all release information.

  1. Looks like the Hyperdunk 2015, but with mesh and synthetic leather. The lockdown wing also kinda reminds me of the Hyperrev 2015

  2. Kinda disappointing, I loved the Trey5.III(kind of a Nike version of the Pro Model) these seem like a step back to me.

      1. Cushioning is very basic, it’s a small bottom-loaded Zoom, so unless you’re huge, you’re not gonna feel it.

  3. Sort of looks like what everyone else is saying. That and a lot like lifestyle shoes we have seen too much of lately. Performance wise they look like they may be fairly stable and you can’t go wrong with herringbone pattern traction. Could be a good outdoor court shoe. That material seems like it will be cool in the summer months.

  4. Aesthetically the previous model looked better. Just wish it had more better CWs like the PE i see in the NBA from Patterson, Len and Deandre.

  5. When KD Want his shoes to be affordable this is what Nike came up with? I just wish the zoom were more responsive and give me a heel air cushion. You can even bump it up $5.

  6. I have a pair of kd trey 5 iii n hyperrev 16…the kd trey 5 iv are pretty nice too the red ones were pretty nice but the trey 5 iii has way more color schemes and they were $40 less($29.99 in clearance)
