De’Aaron Fox Gets his Own Air Max Colorway

The eccentric Kings point guard and known sneakerhead De’Aaron Fox is getting his own pair of Nike Air Max 1 this May.

The Nike Air Max 1 “Swipa” features two different color palettes and accents on each individual sneaker; on the right, the shoe comes in a burgundy mudguard, while the left sneaker features an earthy orange and blue tone. The silhouette is also embroidered with the phrase “Swipa” on the heel and the number 5 on the tongue to give it a personal touch.

The shoe is expected to drop on May 31 with no additional info on the price just yet. This isn’t the first time Nike has featured one of its young athletes on its sneakers, as many Nike NBA sophomores got their own Nike PEs at the beginning of the season. However, featuring a young athlete on a lifestyle sneaker is a nice touch nonetheless.

  1. As a Sactown resident and Kings fan, this is cool. Not big on the different colored shoes, but glad to see Fox getting some recognition. I like the logo and nickname. If he develops more and goes up another notch in his game, he could become a signature candidate soon.
