Converse CONS Remasters the Weapon

It looks like Jordan Brand won’t be the only ones remastering some of their classics as Converse plans to do the same with their iconic Weapon.

Once worn by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, the Weapon was once a staple within the original ‘sneaker community’. If you were skating, hooping or just walking down the street, you would have likely been wearing a pair of Converse Weapons.

The new Converse CONS Weapon, inspired by the original Weapon design, is refined and re-mastered with a lighter last and a slimmer midsole for both style and functionality. New features include an internal Y-Bar with memory foam for enhanced cushion and fit, as well as a plush marbled EVA sockliner. Added perforations also provide increased breathability throughout the sneaker.

On the exterior of the new Converse CONS Weapon, the iconic Star Chevron logo and external Y-bar stay true to the design DNA of the original Weapon, but have been modernized. The Star Chevron logo on the top and bottom of the upper were updated, as well as the external Y-bar to balance the improved upper construction.

The sneaker collection is available for purchase starting on Thursday, Aug. 21st, at Converse retailers and on Converse.com/CONS for a suggested retail price of $85 USD.

No one wants a modern reinterpretation of an 80’s shoe.
Don’t even Retro the run n slams again. You are just going to desecrate them.
