Another Look at the Brandblack Delta

Brandblack has unveiled the upcoming Delta and today we get another look at the latest hoop shoe.

The Delta marks the first basketball-specific traction outsole ever developed by Vibram™. If grip on the hardwood is ever a concern then this shoe should make those worries disappear.

The compound used from Vibram™ grips the court no matter the condition or finish. It was a standout feature while wear-testing the tooling of the upcoming Delta.

The upper is something that we’re all curious about. The Delta features a knit construction with most of the support features hidden along the inside of the shoe. You can learn more about that by checking out our previous article here.

Still no word on when the Brandblack Delta will release but we’re hoping to see them in the beginning of fall. Share your thoughts on the latest look below and stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

  1. I am definitely intrigued because of how they look. I really want to hear how they perform as a basketball shoe. Interesting.

  2. Love how these look! Particularly, I appreciate how they implemented the stitching from midsole to upper. Just worried about lateral containment and the heel structural integrity from a performance stand point. It doesn’t look like the midsole sides rise higher than the footbed and the foam underneath the knit at the back will be an adequate replacement for a standard heel cup; I’ll just have to wait for the performance review… But these are definitely beautiful enough to rock casually!

  3. I’ve known about these for a while, but had a no idea they were a hoop shoe… always thought they were a lifestyle shoe

    1. That’s what I first thought when I saw them on the Founder’s IG page. I really couldn’t picture them being for performance at first. I still have a hard time seeing it but I mean, I’ve been surprised before.

  4. These are the most un-basketball shoe-like basketball shoes I’ve ever seen. I like the look, though, and this being Brandblack the performance should be good.

Next time perhaps they can make ball shoes that could pass as dress shoes. I’ve always wanted that for some reason.

  5. The only thing BrandBlack need to upgrade is shoes’s traction. I love every-Brand-Black-models but the traction feel like just only use my toes for walking/hooping could easily make them completely gone away. However, still my fav brand
