Alpha Industries Debuts Drop #2 of its Fall/Winter 2017 Collection

Alpha Industries has a storied history with the U.S. Department of Defense. It began outfitting the Air Force and Navy in 1959, and its latest collection draws design inspiration from the U.S. Military Parariggers of the Persian Gulf War.

Parariggers, responsible for the packing and repairing of parachutes, are required to have a full understanding of fabrics, hardware, and construction. Clever and resourceful, parariggers often had to patch together uniforms in the middle of missions using whatever resources were available.

Thus, the Fall/Winter 2017 collection from Alpha Industries is inspired by these customization skills; the collection features innovative material combinations and unique detailing like the “Desert Storm 92-93” embroidery. Pieces like the CWU45/P Storm Cruiser come in Chocolate Chip Camo, a print frequently used during that conflict.

As with all of its collections, Alpha Industries has fused its heritage with modern, functional styles. New styles like the Quartermaster Field Coat Long, MA-1 Natus in Commander Red, and the MA-1 Long have been introduced with this drop. Prices range from $150 to $250 and the entire drop is available on alphaindustries.com.
