Air Jordan 5

The Air Jordan 5 dropped in February 1990 and it was the first Jordan model to feature a clear rubber sole. This would be Tinker Hatfield’s 3rd shoe with Jordan Brand. Hatfield got the idea for the clear outsole from the Nike Air Mags from the Back to the Future movies. The Air Jordan 5 was also the first basketball shoe with molded foam in the upper.

The iconic peaks on the side of the shoe were inspired by the famous WWII Spitfire fighter planes, because of Michael’s high-flying and aggressive playing style. The Jordan 5 also features a 3M reflective tongue awith heel and forefoot air units.

As for their on-court performance, they are very similar to the Air Jordan 4. They offer very good traction and decent cushioning. If you choose to hoop in these bad boys, don’t expect too much performance-wise.

Take a Look at the Supreme x Air Jordan 5 Trio

We’ve seen images of all three of the Supreme x Air Jordan 5 collection, but I don’t recall seeing all three of them together. Today we get a first look at the trio together, the hypebeast holy grail of 2015. Are you going to go after the Black, White, or Desert Camo colorway? All three? Well, good luck, because unless

Hypebeast PSA: Images of Another Supreme x Air Jordan 5 Have Surfaced

*Warning*: Title may cause some offense to hype beasts, but it’s just a joke so calm down now. Now that that’s out of the way, the Supreme x Air Jordan 5 series is finally coming to light. Images of a ‘Bred’ version of the collaboration on Michael’s fifth signature shoe surfaced. We recently saw, just a few weeks ago, a desert camo version

Camo Makes Up This Supreme x Air Jordan 5 Retro Collaboration

Get your emojis ready as we have these new images of the camo adorned Supreme x Air Jordan 5 Retro collaboration. There have been grainier images of this colorway circulating social media in recent weeks and these shots have been the clearest thus far. The sneaker has the sole of the Fire Red 5, with the red, black and translucent blue resembling

Air Jordan ‘Alternate’ Collection

The Air Jordan ‘Alternate Collection’ is my favorite of the upcoming 2016 lineup. The 5’s were a PE that never released and they’re not an MJ PE either. The tongue on them has been changed since the last time the low 5’s dropped, but they look better this way so I’m not mad. Those 4’s though…you cannot have those 4’s.

Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Metallic Silver’ – Available Now

One of the cleaner retros is the Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Metallic Silver’, which is available at the retailers below. The sneaker features a white tumbled leather all across the upper. Silver accents appear on the “shark teeth” portion on the midsole, which is inspired by a fighter jet from World War II. That silver is also evident on the pillars

Air Jordan 5 Retro White/ Metallic Silver – Beauty Shots

On April 4th the Air Jordan 5 Retro in White/ Metallic Silver makes its long awaited return to retailers for the first time since 2000. These are a must have for me. This was one of the first pairs of Jordan’s I bought myself back in high school. Just happened to have walked past a Nordstrom Rack and saw the outsole of

Another Look at Upcoming 2015 Jordan Brand Retro Releases

Jordan Brand plans on dropping a few gems in 2015. The Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Oreo’ is one of the more anticipated releases for the beginning of 2015, while the Black/ Red Air Jordan 11 Retro Low will have people swooning come May 23rd. Then there are the two Air Jordan 5 releases that we are unsure of in terms

Air Jordan 5 Retro White/ Infrared23 – Light Poison Green – Black

These are interesting… I like the tongue’s splatter print, and I like it on the midsole too… just not sure about the funky color combination. I’ve heard off the wall nicknames for these which included Space Jam and ‘What The Air Jordan 5’… I doubt it’s either of the two. I would love to see a White/ Cement version of

Air Jordan 5 Retro White/ Metallic Silver

The Air Jordan 5 Retro in White/ Metallic Silver returns next year, and I can’t wait. This was the first Air Jordan Retro I bought myself back in High School. I found them under a rack at Nordstrom Rack for $50… grab them with the quickness too. They finally crumbled on me a couple of years ago, so I would

Air Jordan 5 Retro White/ Metallic Silver – Release Date

The White/ Metallic Silver Air Jordan 5 will be receiving the Retro treatment come 2015, and we have heard there is a tentative release date. April 4th is when we should be seeing these back on stores shelves. Back in 1999, these released alongside the Laney Air Jordan 5’s are Retro+ colorways. Both were ignored and I grabbed the White/

Jordan Future Flight Remix ‘Vibrant Yellow’ – Detailed Look

We previously gave you a first look at the Jordan Future Flight Remix, with thoughts from Nightwing HERE. Now we have more detailed images to really exhibit the shoe below. The colorway is actually almost identical to the ‘Vibrant Yellow’ Jordan Retro 14 releasing later this week. The Jordan 5, 22 and 15 play prominently on this retro mash-up, with leather that looks

Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Oreo’ – Available Now for Pre-Order

The Oreo Air Jordan 5 Retro is said to be this years Black Friday release. While some are disappointed, I’m loving the simple colorway and color blocking. Only thing that could make these better than they already are is a red Jumpman on the tongue, heel and outsole. Other than that… I think this is a simple and clean look.
