Remember when we re-imagined some of adidas’ classic models with an updated Boost?
Looks like something similar is in the works. First the D Rose 5 Boost got a shell-toe implemented, and now the Pro Model is turned back into a basketball shoe. What I like about this… pretty much everything. I like the concept, the effort to update their classic lines that have been proven to work, and I like Boost… a lot. What I don’t like… I don’t like the reuse of tooling. If you’re going to update a classic, you gotta do it right.
Combining design cues from the iconic adidas Pro Model along with unmatched Boost technology, the Futurestar Boost will make its debut at NBA All-Star weekend in New York City on the feet of select athletes who participate in the Rising Stars Challenge, NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the NBA All-Star Game. The classically designed new model features a white upper with snakeskin texture, midfoot three-stripes in black, an elastic strap around the heel for added support, and as a nod to the original Pro Model, a reinforced toe box for added durability. Boost cushioning is featured in the heel of the shoe for unmatched energy return and comfort. – adidas

I see what they were trying to do….but this is a miss…way too boring. Same tooling as crazylight 3.

So @nightwing2303, is it the same performance as crazylight boost? Meaning just Eva in the forefoot? If so that’s gonna suck :'( because I see they’ll have the CLB setup as traction and he’ll cushion

so its the crazylight boost w/ a heavier upper. same problems of zero forefoot cushioning. so they changed what wasnt wrong and reused the problem sole. at most it’ll just have a better insole to hide the lack ofl forefoot impact protection. another money grab
They should release the crazylight upper with the d rose 5 sole

I had the privilege of holding the samples of the Pro Model Boost. Such a shame they moved away from that.
That friggin’ toebox makes them look like a budget shoe.

just copped a pair. materials are really soft, the tongue is just just foam on some fabric. havent had the chance to hoop in em. more of a lifestyle walking shoe for me
Where did you get them?
In is a thicker PU insole but still te same midsole as te CLBoost. These are up next for review.
