Nike Zoom Hyperrev

What was once though to be a RosheRun rendition of a hoop shoe is actually just a hoop shoe that happens to look similar to the RosheRun design.

The Nike Zoom Hyperrev looks intriguing and has performance tech as they feature an open mesh upper, proprioceptive strap, Dynamic Flywire & full length Zoom Air. One issue I see with them is the Phylite midsole & outsole construction. It all looks to be one piece and even thought herringbone is in place, a Phylite outsole will not allow you to grip the floor properly… been through that with the Huarache Free Bball 2012 and that wasn’t the best experience.

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below and expect these to release in early 2014.

  1. Nooooooooo are you sure its a phylite outsole, it doesn’t see that in the description??? I thought it was only on the outer part of the the shoe.

      1. Looks like the bottom is a separate piece. Notice the heel on the bottom picture has a slight line seperating the rubber and the sprinkled yellow/green midsole.

        1. I noticed that. If you look you can actually see where the rubber could be placed along the entire bottom of the shoe and it looks like the outrigger is part of the midsole.

  2. It would look nice in a low top form factor…..looks like it will be priced at around 130 – 150, which is a pretty sweet deal for the tech you get.

  3. I am crossing my fingers so hard for these to be legit hoop shoes with a solid rubber outsole, they look minimal and comfy af all in the same sentence. I really like these for some reason.

  4. love what you’re doing nightwing curiously are you going to have a review for these interesting new shoes

  5. I just don’t understand why they would make the outrigger–a very important spot for traction and stability–with a less grippy material?! From what I can see, that’s exactly what they did. Lame.

  6. maybe the outsole is very thin and you cannot see it within this picture angle. my guess because ive never seen phylite with that kind of ability to have that pattern.

  7. I had so much hope when I saw these before. knowing now the outsole is what it is, this is nothing more than another fashion product from nike. so irritated right now. beyond sick of what nike has become

  8. im liking what nikes doing with the full length zoom and im kind of liking what i see so far with this shoe but im iffy on support with these especially after spraining my ankle in the kobe 7s

  9. I’m just assuming that these shoes are comfortable. They look good to play in. I’ll be waiting on it’s release and I hope it’s worth the money. 🙂
