The Jordan 6 Rings Returns in Concord

Guess who’s back? The Air Jordan 6 Rings.

The sneaker made its another return early in 2017 in some brand new colorways. However, in 2018 some of the more iconic colorways from Jordan Brand’s heritage will be seen on the model once again.

For the second time in the model’s history, the Concord colorway has been applied to the shoe. While many dislike hybrid sneakers, mostly when it comes to the Air Jordan line, there are some that enjoy the mash ups when they happen to work out.

Admittedly, I’m a fan of the Jordan 6 Rings aesthetically, but I will admit some colorways of the shoe look a bit funny — but this Concord colorway just isn’t one of them. It might be because it perfectly emulates the classic Air Jordan 11 ‘Concord’ in both looks and materials used — with a few upgrades like Zoom Air instead of full-length Air.

Although, we’re unsure if the recent 6 Rings have heel and forefoot Zoom Air like the original version of the shoe. It appears that the shoe has taken a hit in the forefoot Zoom Air department like the Air Jordan 15 Retro from 2017.

In addition to the ‘Concord’ edition making a return, a brand new ‘Space Jam’ colorway of the shoe is releasing and it looks beautiful. There is also a clean white/red version that replaces the patent leather with faux tumbled leather.

All three of these colorways have released overseas in kids sizes and can be found via eBay seller id4shoes. Only the Jordan 6 Rings in the ‘Concord’ colorway is available in men’s sizes at this time, but we’ll be sure to update you once we see them available Stateside.

  1. I found a pair of the concord at Plato’s closet for 25.00 brand new. They still had the sz sticker in them.
