The Air Penny Project

You didn’t think I’d stop with just the Air Jordan line did you?

Despite what you may think, there are still TONS of people who play basketball in Retro products. How do they actually perform? Only one way to find out…

  1. keep doing what your doing. dj delz is tha punk biiitch that says its stupid to do performance reviews on retros. dumb punk look like he never played a day of ball in his life. he too busy running to the kitchen for a twinkie and a root beer. and he deletes all bad comments on his videos. bitch move.

  2. Speaking of Reebok, when are you finally gonna post the review on the ZigEncore? Lol just kidding I know why by now.

  3. hey nightwing2303, here’s another idea, Pippen project, I was actually going to request that you review the Air Flight Maestro’s specifically, but now that I see you starting another series of retro shoes, it’d be cool if you reviewed some pippen shoes too like the Air max tempos, or Uptempos, or Air Pippens.

Keep up the good work. Big fan of it.

  4. you just started the jordan project now you starting the penny??U have that much time to play in all these shoes and like you said gotta have at least 40 hours of playing time to do a performance review.I assume you play 3-5 hours everyday right?

  5. This is awesome! Question though, how about the 1/2 Cent’s, Air Flight 1’s, and possibly the Air LWP? Those are very closely tied to Penny and, IMO, you should consider them but no worries bro. This project is already great as it is. Personally, I’m really interested in the Air Flight 1’s ’cause I love how they look and I wanna know if they hold up on court. Hope you consider at least looking into that model. Keep up the great work man!

  6. Hey Nightwing, love your reviews. I know this is a longshot, but how about doing a Grant Hill project. I loved the Grant Hill Fila’s before, I wonder how they would compare to the shoes of today. I know they don’t retro, so you’d actually have to find them. A longshot, but I think it’d be cool.

  7. i hope you can do kobe’s, lebron’s tmac’s and VC’s too but i think you cant. unless you find all of their og’s in good condition or they retro them. the revival of tmac 2 was not exactly what they were. more of a “x.0” minus the luxury feel.

  8. i just remembered. the next best thing probably to the air jordan project is an AI project. too bad none are being retroed exept the questions.

  9. when you think about it, a set up of zoom+ max cushioning ten years ago, still on Lebron nowaday.
I was expecting something more exciting tho……..

  10. Those 4’s always (intrigued) me. An outsole like the AJ13 and an upper reminiscent of the AJ14, but the stealthy look and contrast in material (suede?) and color is so nice. (And that strap just seems very functional.)

  11. Being a kid from Orlando that had every Penny model growing up I’ll be interested to see how you feel they compare to today’s sneakers. I have a bigger place in my heart for Penny sneakers than Jordan sneakers.

As an adult I’ve played in both the Penny II and the original Foamposite. Penny II was good to play in but lacked good ankle support. The original Foamposite is awesome to play in but heel lockdown is a weakness.

Also, can I say how excited I am for the Penny 5. I might buy every colorway.

  12. Very cool, can’t wait for the penny 1s, I’m planning on playing with mine outdoors but judging by the sole of it I don’t think is a good idea
