Yohji Yamamoto, of Y-3 design fame, doesn’t always specially design an upper for soccer cleats, but when he does, the result is unlike anything else on the market. With his latest artwork for the adidas adizero f50 LE, he opted for different colored dragons for each foot. Each dragon is split into two graphical styles, one half in the traditional Japanese dragon form and the other half in a more mechanized, robotic likeness of a dragon. They are bright, flashy, and will undoubtedly be made in a very limited quantities. Real Madrid C.F. will be wearing these at some point during this season, most likely with their new black alternate with dragons criss-crossing their shirts. These may not appeal to everyone, but they are certainly an exotic, artful execution of an adizero upper. Let us know what you think of them in the comments below! What would you do to own a pair of these? Images via adidasfootball and SoccerBible
