The Jordan Defy SP Takes an Off-White Approach

Jodan Brand takes an Off-White approach with the upcoming Jordan Defy SP.

The tooling used on the upcoming Jordan Jumpman Zero Gravity looks like it’ll be used on more than the one model with a first look at the upcoming Jordan Defy SP.

The Jordan Defy SP features a deconstructed look with materials and panel placement that is very reminiscent of the Nike React Element 87. The only thing I find a bit confusing is whether or not this is a performance shoe or not.

The rear heel features the same tooling stamp stating “Jordan Brand Basketball”. However, that same stamp is featured on the Jumpman Zero Gravity due to those being an actual performance shoe. This models name has SP attached to it which alludes to Jordan Sportswear — Jordan Brand’s new lifestyle devision.

I’m sure the shoe is likely playable, but it’s unlikely that it was made for performance. That is just pure speculation on my part.

Feel free to share your thoughts on the Jordan Defy SP and whether or not you feel this is a new performance model or a lifestyle model that happens to use performance features.

Stay tuned for updates on the Jordan Defy SP release date and pricing.
