Its rare when a brand releases sneakers inspired by athletes that are not signed with their brand. We’ve seen it with adidas and Reebok, and now Nike is jumping on board.
The Nike Zoom Flight ’96 was worn by numerous Guards in the NBA, but Allen Iverson wasn’t one of them. What if he was? He’d probably have rocked this pair as it features the classic 76ers colors and his jersey number on the heel.
This is the first version of the Nike Zoom Flight ’96 to be inspired by a player not under contract with Nike, but it won’t be the last. If you wanted to grab a pair, head over here and grab them.
ON the subject, do you know if these are any good as on-court performers? Recently been trying to find old 90’s- early 2000’s kicks to try and hoop in, and these, being Zoom and used by guards, seemed worth a shot. And a Top Ten list of your favorite 90’s shoes would be a cool thing to see… maybe not even top ten, just some of your favorites.
Thanks!
I loved the ogs to play in. Zoom was springy, shoe was decently flexible, Nice fit, and really good traction. As for the retros my hopes aint high
It looks like an onion with all those layers! hahah Still super fresh though.
Ogres have layers too.
Lol. You Sir are a true gentleman and a scholar!
These are really nice… look like Air Max 95 basketball shoes.
Who did adidas and Reebok do?
Not sure if it counts, but SVSM TMac 1 PE for LeBron? He actually wore them in high school, though.
