Nike KD 12 ‘The Day One’ | Detailed Look and Review

The Nike KD 12 ‘The Day One’ has finally released and we have a detailed look and review.

Once again, the annual KD model is one of my most anticipated of the year. Whether or not they end up being one of my top picks of the year in another story, but for the time being, I’m extremely excited to try these out.

With full-length Zoom Air (essentially full-length Zoom Turbo) replacing the standard strobel board, the cushion sits closer to the foot than ever before. Yes, it feels as amazing as it sounds.

While the Phylon midsole is caged, they’ve cored out a good portion to allow for compression without losing stability. There is a heel Hex-Zoom Air unit in place, however, it’s bottom loaded and doesn’t make much of an impact.

Traction looks and feels (rubber compound) amazing while the build is fairly standard for 2019.

Retail remains at $150 for the fourth year in a row and can be found now at all Nike Basketball retailers.

All of our Wear-Testers picked up the Nike KD 12 so expect plenty of performance reviews from all of our perspectives.
