Nike has combined the nylon hand-woven basket-weave upper from its fan-favorite Inneva series with the VaporMax tooling to create the Air VaporMax Inneva ‘Rainbow’.
This is a rainbow sneaker that dropped during Pride Month and the shoe has already sold out on Nike SNKRS (it’s reselling on StockX for a few bucks over retail). At $240 the Air VaporMax Inneva is certainly expensive, and it points at a larger design trend Nike has been using: take fan-favorite sneakers and sit them atop the VaporMax tooling. The Air VaporMax 97, VaporMax Plus, and VaporMax 95 are all perfect examples of this phenomenon.
According to Nike, the woven nylon upper used here should adapt to the shape of your foot. The shoe flaunts Glacier Blue and Laser Orange multicolor strips for added visual affect and sports premium details like a leather inner lining and suede heels with debossed Swooshes. This shoe also adds a midsole to the VaporMax tooling which should make it more comfortable.
