The Air Max Tempo is the latest Nike Classic to undergo a modern transformation… changing their supple leather and nubuck uppers into plastic Fuse.
These are due out in the Spring of 2013 and I personally think this is a mistake. Nike has been putting out way too many Air Max 360 based performance models… way too many performance models in general. What happened to the good ol’ days when we had 2 or three models to choose from – a few models for Guards and a few models for big men – and then a few signature sneakers which were considered the crème de la crème.
At any rate, if you like seeing classics rebuilt with ‘modern’ materials and tech then maybe these will be on your Spring 2013 list of items to purchase.
