Knit, laceless designs are what people want and almost every brand under the sun is delivering. Li-Ning’s latest lifestyle silhouette, the Wade Essence, now has a release date overseas.
Rumored to arrive July 7, the knit sneaker is minimalistic with a sock-like collar. The elastic straps that cross the midfoot mesh with the tongue’s pull tab to form the Wade logo for an interesting look, and the heel is exaggerated for support.
There is no official word yet on pricing or what the cushioning will be but we wouldn’t be surprised if the Wade Essence was just sitting atop EVA.

Isn’t Phylon a branded-Nike tech? By this I mean, is saying this Li-Ning shoe is just sitting on Phylon is the same idea as an Under Armour shoe sitting on Lunarlon? I know Phylon is just about as basic a cushion as you can get but is it a tech all companies can use like EVA or is it a Nike proprietary property? Legitimate question, though I know it is way off tangent.
Also, the shoe looks nice. One of the better laceless designs, better than the recent Jordan Fly ’89

Would definitely consider this. Looks nicer than the WoW samurai since it has less straps. Looks to have the same tooling which NW seemed to like.
