Hanon and Diadora have teamed up again to create an extremely limited rendition of their classic Squash model.
Dubbed the ‘St. Clair’, the sneaker is named after the famous ferry that brought the Aberdeen Football Club to 1983’s Final in Gothenburg, where it defeated Real Madrid. The team at Hanon has been telling the stories of the North East of Scotland through sneaker collabs and this latest one honors Hanon’s hometown soccer club.
The shoe has premium details all over, ranging from kangaroo leather on the tongue to pig suede along the upper. The light blue hues mimic those of the St. Clair ferry and signage. On the inside of the tongue, the number “112” is embossed to represent the time that the final goal was scored.
There will only be 150 pairs made, and they will be sold exclusively by Hanon. The Hanon x Diadora Squash ‘St. Clair’ will retail for £145.00 (approx. $191 USD) and initial sales will only be made to those who sign up for the invitation on their site. The invite-only launch event will take place on October 25 and any remaining stock will go on sale October 28.
