Get Up Close and Personal with the Nike Kobe 11 EM ‘Draft Day’

The next installment of the Nike Kobe 11 series comes equipped with an Engineered Mesh upper versus the FlyKnit and a midsole featuring full length Lunarlon over the Lunar/ Zoom combo.

This pair is the Draft Day – or Hornets – colorway paying homage to the time a young High School graduate was drafted to the Charlotte Hornets – which then led to the immediate trade to the Los Angeles Lakers. The draft date is located at the heel along with the suture scars from Kobe’s Achilles injury.

The release date is tentatively slated for April 26 with a retail price of $160. Expect a performance review on the shoes once they release and be sure to leave your thoughts on the Engineered Mesh version below in the comment section.

  1. This is a pretty nice CW, but these will basically be a kobe 8/9em but with worse traction. Still though, I’m digging these…

  2. Wish the colorway was on flyknit, but still love engineered mesh and the price is much better

  3. So its straight Lunarlon without the zoom, and the upper is a little stiffer. Sounds like the Mentality 2, which you could get for a lot cheaper with better traction.
