Air Jordan Retro 1 High OG ‘Family Forever’ – Official Look

Nike has finally released the inspiration and release details of the Air Jordan Retro 1 ‘Family Forever.’ The colors and materials of the sneaker were actually hand chosen by Michael Jordan’s three adult children, Jeffrey, Marcus & Jasmine – all for Father’s Day. The sneaker has interesting materials with a denim upper, leather tongue and waxed laces. There also are unique details to the sneaker including the insoles that show the Jordan’s 2-3 gate doors (not pictured below.)

The ‘Family Forever’ Jordan 1 will be an “OG” release with Nike Air on the tongue, but surprisingly will cost less ($120) than previous OG models (typically $140.) Let us know in the comments if you’ll be picking up a pair this upcoming Saturday.

Dropping just before Father’s Day, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Family Forever’ would make any dad proud. Leather panels accent the predominantly denim upper, while three lace eyelets with three different colors—blue, red and yellow—provide distinct pop. A classic white midsole sits atop a dark powder blue outsole, and an inspirational quote is printed on the tongue:

6 months ago Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine Jordan approached the footwear designers at the Jordan brand to discuss the ultimate Father’s Day gift. What they created together is now a celebration of the little moments between father and family.
