The adidas NMD_R1 Primeknit Gets Gum Bottoms for May

adidas nmd r1 gum bottoms 3

It’s spring is here and summer is on its way. That means we’re getting lots of white-on-white silhouettes — and this year, gum bottoms.

For May, the adidas NMD_R1 has been done up in two subtle and classic colorways — white/white/gum and black/black/gum.

Simple and clean, both builds feature an entirely Primeknit upper structured with welded 3-stripes branding and the NMD_R1’s known, and nubby, molded eyestay. Also present are the heel patch panels, done in either white or black, and the full-length Boost midsole with EVA plug inserts. Both shoes sit atop contrasting gum bottoms with Three Stripes branded heel tabs.

These NMD_R1s launch globally on May 20 for $170 each. Will you be picking up a pair?

  1. what i don’t really get is why r1s are still releasing when the r2s are out…it’s kind of like the city sock 1 still coming out with new colorways when they’ve put out the city sock 2….it’s kind of confusing really, at this rate, why don’t they put out new colorways of the ultraboost 1.0 and 2.0?

      1. it just seems like adidas want to cash in while they can, but it seems to me that the product is starting to outstrip demand now, i’m starting to see r1s and r2s sit in stores, a few months ago this would have been inconceivable
(btw i think r2s are WAY more comfortable than r1s as far as cushioning goes, but the r1 is a much much prettier shoe…..sucks)

          1. i dunno if europeans are into nmds (they seem to be really into eqts), but if nmds are sitting in hong kong, you know there’s a problem, people FIEND for nmds here
