adidas D Rose 6 Team Editions will Offer yet Another Material Option

Synthetic leather, mesh with web overlays, synthetic suede, PrimeKnit, and now straight up mesh. These are all the material options available on the adidas D Rose 6 so far.

The team editions will feature simple colorways to easily match uniforms — this pair happens to be black/white — and will be comprised of a nice mesh upper. I can’t lie, the upper has me intrigued and I want to try them out. However, I haven’t seen an actual D Rose 6 in any physical retail location so without being able to try them on first, or hold them in-hand at the very least, I likely won’t get around to it. They do look slick though, especially in this colorway. I’ve seen the red/white team edition and they feature the same upper but with white backing the red mesh.

Some team colors of the D Rose 6 have been made available overseas but stay tuned for Stateside release info as it comes.

Thanks to Seppel Tura for the heads up!

  1. i just got the xeno version in the other day and it is a cushioned mesh. so even one more material option.

xeno version is much softer and more cushioned than the white home colorway materials. i got them tts and they fit just fine.

    1. Yeah it’s very soft. Just mesh over bootie like the original HyperRev, and I can’t imagine it being too far off the ASG/Knit model in this regard. The “seatbelt” lacing system of said ASG shoe, may be a difference maker, though.

For the pair in the post, I recommend trying these when they release, or the Xeno’s for people who haven’t bit on the Rose 6. You could probably manage half size down and get a way different impression from the debut colorways. My Xeno and Lux sorta feel like two different shoes.

      1. Yep I got the xeno and the away black and red version and I agree with you. Feels like two different shoes from an upper and movement standpoint. Cushion is awesome and the same in both.

  2. Foot Locker Great Mall Milpitas has the Xeno if you need to try on the mesh upper. Not the exact same mesh but should offer the same great comfort.

  3. I like simple colors, plus looks like Space Jam. Was going to pull trigger on DRose 6 after NW and Jahronmon said boost is awesome but will wait until on this colorway.

  4. This might very well be my 3rd pair of Rose 6. I absolutely love these shoes. There is no cushion better for my beat up legs and this upper looks extremely comfortable. My other two are the Away and a custom synthetic leather that I got discounted with the 30 percent off code a little while ago. Both were had for under retail and I’m hoping to do the same with these.

  5. i tried these on in the store yesterday….they are BUTTER…upper is REALLY soft, tongue is REALLY fat and thick….i don’t really like the fact that the midsole is so white, if it was more like the xenos i think it would look nicer, but it’s a small complaint

  6. Um, I am between a 9.5 and a 10 and when it comes to Adidas I tend to go with a 9.5 because the lasts are not as suffocatingly narrow as other brands most of the time, so I guess I would say it fits ‘true to size’, seeing as how most people don’t have feet as weird as mine…that being said even when I went with the 9.5 the forefoot was still a tiny bit roomier than I would have liked, ideally, but I don’t think it’s a big deal, actually, my rose 5 woven Brendas were that way too but playing in them was/is not a problem at all….one thing I will say is that I don’t know about durability with these, the ‘mesh’ is really soft and the weave kind of comes closer to a knitted than the mesh you would get on something like the grey colorway or a kd 7/hyper rev 2015 or whatever, and there is no backing around it, and there doesn’t appear to be any fuse reinforcement on the toe areas etc.

    1. Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. That helps with making my decision because I went with a size 10 in the Away and they do have some room but it’s not bad since the material is what it is. If they had been softer and size 10 then it would feel too big so I guess a 9.5 or 9 in these would work. Thanks again.

  7. Anybody have any ideas why Drose 6s aren’t in any stores? I’ve checked all around the north bay at finishline, footlocker, champs, footaction and even shiekh in order to try them on and no luck smh

  8. Keep up the good work adidas. Now drop the shoe to $100 dollar’s worldwide. Or keep the shoe at $140 and sell minimum numbers. Also Yeezus should be priced at $100 and $85 for low top.
