Turns out this is the ‘Brenda’ edition of the adidas D Rose 5 Boost after all.
These feature that all-red upper that you’ve become accustom to seeing placed on the Brenda models, but these give a little something extra with the Speckled StableFrame.
In tradition with previous “Brenda” editions, this shoe pays tribute to Derrick’s mother with a red based shoe to celebrate her favorite color. It features a rich red woven upper with an embellished print of the D Rose logo and stars, which are inspired by the Flag of Chicago. A gray and black speckled Fit Cage and translucent red outsole add bold detail and style. -adidas

Wow Adidas really did give us crap with that L-Train launch color way. I haven’t hooped in mine enough, but those who have trashed the hell out the material. Woven or Patent Leather should’ve been the only way to go.

Woven upper? It won’t be primeknit, but it’ll be nice!
Wish this was released first instead of the L-Train… anyways I’ve broken in the L-Trains quite well and the upper is no longer a problem for me as far as flex, although that could be attributed to replacing the insole with a thicker one. I like this setup more than my Lebron 12s
does replacing the insole make you feel the boost less
These are the best D Rose 5 colorways so far. I always look forward to the Brenda colorways.

Beautiful woven upper I got the Home and Away that he sports, theyr equal if not better than UA Clutchfit Drive 2 in every way.
Looks like waiting was the best thing to to. That “being said!” I’ll like this be my first boost shoe.

Most comfortable, the Brenda’s, the Black-Ice colorway, or Bad Dreams, basically all the versions where the uppers are woven.
If you want a little more support, the Kareem A-Jabbar/BHM version is great, they have leather uppers.
For indoor play, they should all be good, the more translucent, the more dust-sticks, so if you have a clean-court go as translucent as possible, dusty, go real-rubber as much as possible.
And what about the home colorway?

Just copped the Brenda’s today and they are absolute fire. The red looks super clean with the white speckled heel carrier. Plus they are super comfortable, tough to pick them over the Kyrie 1 Brotherhood though.
